Jio 5G service in India in 2021 second half: Jio’s 5G service will be launched in India in the second half of 2021. Reliance Industries Chairman and Director Mukesh Ambani on Tuesday announced this at the India Mobile Congress 2020.
With the launch of the 5G service, Jio is also building cheaper Android smartphones with Google, which will be launched in the next few months.
In the India Mobile Congress 2020, Mukesh Ambani said that in 2021, Jio will bring about a 5G revolution in India. Its entire network will be indigenous. Besides, hardware and technology will also be indigenous.
He said that through Jio, we will fulfill the dream of a self-reliant India. Jio will lead the 5G revolution. However, he also stressed that there is a need to accelerate policy changes and process. Unless it is made politically easy and cheap, it is not possible to reach everyone.
Ambani said India should take a decision on the 5G spectrum at the earliest. India is expected to become a manufacturing hub of semi-conductors in the coming days. We cannot live in imports for semiconductors only.
